PURPOSE:To prevent a large torque fluctuation from occurring at the time of a start and dissolve a quick start by calculating the optimum clutch engaging speed when an inching pedal is released and slowly engaging a clutch in response to this calculation result. CONSTITUTION:When an inching pedal 15 is released, a CPU 20 detects the depressed quantity of an accelerating pedal 18 based on the signal from a sensor 17 and detects the stroke quantity of the rod 6a of a clutch control actuator 6 based on the signal from a sensor 11. In addition, the CPU 20 calculates the change quantity of the rotating speed of an engine 1 based on the signal from a sensor 10 and detects the depressed quantity of the inching pedal 15 based on the signal from a sensor 14. The CPU calculates the optimum clutch engaging speed based on these detection values and calculation values and control the clutch control actuator 6 in response to this calculation result.
