PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily form a frame part excellent in decorativeness on the outer peripheral edge of a plate-like member by a method wherein the plate-like member, which has the predetermined outline and on the peripheral edge of which a string-like member is fixed provisionally, is inserted in a mold so as to expansion- mold the string-like member in the cavity space having the desired shape into the predetermined frame part. CONSTITUTION:Heat active adhesive 11 is applied along the peripheral surface including the front, rear and side surfaces of a plate-shaped member 10. A string-like member 12, the cross-section of which is formed in advance by extrusion into a shape nearly similar to that of a desired-shaped frame part, is wound along and fixed to the peripheral side surface of the member. The plate-like member, to which said string-like member 12 is fixed provisionally, is insertedly placed in a shaping mold 20. When high frequency voltage is applied to the mold 20 under the state as just mentioned above, the string-like member 12 generates heat by itself so as to expand foaming agent and at the same time to expand volume over the whole interior of a cavity space 21, resulting in forming a desired frame part 12 with a shape corresponding to the cavity surface. At the same time, the frame par tightly bonds to the member 10 by fixing from both the front and rear sides of the plate-like member 10 by pressure and integrally fix to the member 10 by means of activated adhesive. |
