PURPOSE:To obtain gold having extremely high purity, by subjecting mother liquor containing gold cyanide as an aqueous phase to solvent extraction by using tri-n-butyl phosphate as an organic phase, subjecting the prepared extracted solution of gold cyanide to back extraction into an aqueous phase to give a solution of gold cyanide, crystallizing the solution and drying. CONSTITUTION:Motor liquor containing gold cyanide in the form of an aqueous phase is extracted with a solvent containing tri-n-butyl phosphate as an organic phase and then the prepared extracted solution of gold cyanide is subjected to back extraction into an aqueous phase to prepare a solution of gold cyanide. Then the solution of gold cyanide is crystallized or concentrated and crystallized, and dried.
