PURPOSE:To obtain a dust collector high in heat resistance without allowing a filter itself to become a dust generation source by bending a filter medium consisting of heat resistant glass fiber to a zigzag shape and fixing it to the inside of a frame. CONSTITUTION:A filter medium 1 consisting of heat resistant glass fiber 3 filled to the inside of opposite fine reticular metals 2a, 2b is zigzag inserted into the inside of an outer frame 4. The filter medium 1 is sandwiched by separators 6, 7 combined with a press plate from both an inflow side and an outflow side of gas so that it is not moved. A sealer 8 of heat resistant glass fiber is filled in the space formed by the separator 6, the outer frame 4 and the filter medium 1 so that the surface density thereof is made to several times of the surface density of the filter medium 1. Thereby glass fiber can be prevented from being flown from the filter medium 1 and furthermore the collection of fine particles can be performed by increasing the surface density of the sealer 8.
