PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of data transfer by adding channel information to be checked to a locking and listening inquiry start signal and sending the result to each terminal equipment thereby eliminating the need for the addition of channel information to a response signal. CONSTITUTION:At the starting time of looking and listening channel inquiry, a central processing circuit 16 outputs a request signal of the looking and listening inquiry start signal added with channel information to be checked to a looking and listening inquiry signal sending circuit 12. the transmission circuit 12 receives it and sends the looking and listening inquiry start signal to a terminal equipment 20 via a transmission/reception interface circuit 11. Successively, a looking and listening inquiry signal sending circuit 15 sends a looking and listening inquiry signal to the terminal equipment 20. After the transmission, an affirmative response signal or a negative response signal returned from the terminal equipment 20 is received by the transmission/reception interface circuit 11, then it is detected by a response signal detection circuit 13 and registered on a reply signal storage table 14. The central processing unit 16 refers to the table 14 to collect looking and listening information.
