PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory picture quality in an exact photosensitive time and to eliminate a mechanical shutter by accumulating signal charges occurred in a photosensitive part of a solid-state image sensor in the accumulation part of the same solid-state image sensor for prescribed photo sensitive time and outputting them as picture signals in a prescribed order. CONSTITUTION:If a release switch 8 is turned on, a power source is turned on. With a lens 1, a light beam from a subject is imageformed on the solid-state image sensor 13. With impressing a read pulse on a column direction register 23 in the sensor 13, an undesired charge accumulated in a photosensitive picture element 21a is read into the register 23. When impressing reverse transfer pulse, the undesired charge is discharged to a drain 27. The undesired charge in a photosensitive picture element 21b is similarly cleared, and then signal charges are accumulated in the photosensitive picture elements 21a is 21b. The signal charge in the picture element 21a is read into the register 23 and accumulated in a accumulation register 24. Then, the signal charge in the picture element 21b is accumulated in the register 24. With impressing a line shift pulse and a holding pulse, the signal charges are sequentially read through a row direction register 25.
