PURPOSE:To make it possible to use an optional abbreviated dial table from an optional telephone set by providing the pair of the abbreviated dial table which corresponds to every extension number, and of an extension number designating device which designates optionally the extension number to correspond to the said abbreviated dial table. CONSTITUTION:When a user S1 off-hooks the telephone set T1, in a usual case, the extension number N1 to correspond to a line circuit L1 is designated from the correspondence table LNT of the stored position of the line circuit and the extension number, and only the shortened dial table of the N1 in the abbreviated dial table DT is used. When the user S1 off-hooks the telephone set T1, if he uses the extension number designating device NSE, the user S1 can use any optional abbreviated dial table, designating it among the abbreviated dial tables of N1, N2, N3, N4 in the table DT. Further, the pair of the correspondence table of the user ID and the abbreviated dial table to correspond to every user ID can be provided for the purpose.
