PURPOSE:To obtain endurability for a long-term use by forming comb teeth into deformed comb teeth with cut-out upper end corner parts and mounting a lead lump on legs of electrode plates and applying a flame from the upside of the lead lump to melt the lead lump and welding respective legs to each other by the use of molten lead lump. CONSTITUTION:A comb teeth jig 3 comprises deformed comb teeth with inclined surfaces 1 which are formed by cutting out end corner parts of both upper ends of respective comb teeth into cross sectional triangular shapes. Legs 4 of the same polarity electrode plates are inserted at intervals of the respective comb teeth 2 of the comb teeth jig 3 and disposed projecting into recessed parts 5 which are formed above the comb teeth 2 of the comb teeth jig 3. A lead lump 6, whose size and shape are approximately similar with those of a strap formed above the legs 4, is mounted on the legs 4, and a flame of a burner 7 moving right and left is applied uniformly to the lead lump 6 from the upside so as to melt the lead lump 6. The molten lead lump is made to flow down inside the recessed part 5 of the jig 3 and solidified so that a plurality of legs 4... are unitedly welded to form the strap 8. Thus, a welding surface expands and besides a welding interface ? projects toward the inside of the strap 8 so that its length is comparatively large, and long-term prevention of its separation due to corrosion can be performed. |
