PURPOSE:To exhibit the magnetic characteristics of the title thin strip to the maximum extent by a method wherein a film selected from an organic metal compound or its decomposition product is formed on one surface of the thin strip. CONSTITUTION:A film consisting of at least one kind selected from an organic metal compound or its decomposition product is formed at least on one surface of an amorphous magnetic alloy thin strip. At least a kind selected from the group such as metal acetylacetonate and the like or metal alkoxide and the like can be enumerated as the organic metal compound. As a result, a very thin film consisting of an organic metal compound or its decomposition product and the like can be formed uniformly at least on one surface of the thin strip, the thin film sufficiently performs the function of interlayer insulation, the film has excellent corrosion-resisting and heatproof properties, the rate of occupation can be enhanced even when the thin film is formed on an iron core, and magnetic characteristics can be exhibited to the maximum extent. |
