发明名称 PRODUCTION OF FIBER REINFORCED METALLIC COMPOSITE MATERIAL
摘要 PURPOSE:To prevent generation of cracks by specifying the thickness at which continuous inorg. fibers are continuously laminated in one direction to a specific value or below at the time of laminating unidirectionally paralleled resin impregnated sheets of said fibers and producing a thick composite material having >=5mm thickness. CONSTITUTION:An inorg. fiber preform formed by laminating the unidirectionally paralleled resin impregnated sheets of the continuous inorg. fibers is packed into a metallic mold and after a molten metal is forced into the preform, the molten metal is solidified to produce the fiber reinforced metallic composite material. The thickness of the fiber reinforced metallic composite material is specified to >=5mm and the thickness at which the fibers are continuously laminated in the same one direction is specified to <=1mm in the above- mentioned method. The thermal stresses to be generated are thereby dispersed and the generation of the cracks in the resulted composite material is obviated. The sheets are so laminated as to form the laminate in which the fiber arranging directions of the laminated sheets are symmetrical.
