PURPOSE:To eliminate the breakage of an inner race even when interference with a circumferential stress of a predetermined value or less is applied, by forming the inner race of silicon nitride or sialon by a hot pressing process or a hot isostatic pressing process. CONSTITUTION:An inner race of a ceramics bearing is formed of silicon nitride or sialon by a hot pressing process or a hot isostatic pressing process. A maximum value of interference between the inner race and a shaft is decided in such a manner that a circumferential stress of the inner race is a predetermined value or less. In the case that the inner race is formed of silicon nitride by the hot pressing process or the hot isostatic pressing process, the maximum value of the interference is so decided as to provide the circumferential stress of 20kgf/cm<2> or less, for example. Accordingly, even when the interference within this range is applied between the inner race and the shaft, the inner race is not broken.
