PURPOSE:To make a period for selecting a terminal equipment free of charge and to use a device in common by dividing a device, which selects a prescribed terminal equipment according to the call of a caller and connects it to a subscriber line, into the device located at a station side and the device located at the terminal equipment side. CONSTITUTION:The device consists of the device 2 located at a station side and connected between the switch frame 1 of an exchange, to which a line from other station is connected through the incoming trunk 5 of the exchange, and the subscriber line 3, and the device 4 located at a terminal equipment side and connected between plural terminal equipments 6, 7, 8 and the line 3. The device 2 has an incoming free answering function, a guidance transmitting function, a PB signal receiving function, a terminal selecting signal transmitting function and a call signal transmitting function, while the device 4 has a call signal detecting function, a terminal equipment selecting signal receiving function, and a terminal equipment selecting and connecting function. On an incoming, the device 2 performs once an incoming free answer, receiver a terminal equipment selecting signal from the caller, transmits it to the device 4 selects and connects to the equipments 6-8, calls the terminal equipment, and cancels an incoming free answering state according to the answer of the terminal equipment, then a communicating state can be completed.
