<p>PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a golf ball whose linear flying properties and flying distance are balanced freely, by controlling a gelatinized state of a core material. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution is obtained by compounding a 5-40pts.wt. filling agent, whose specific gravity is higher than 1, to a 100pts.wt. aqueous solution wherein density of polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of saponification of 95mol% or higher and mean degree of polymerization of 700 or higher is adjusted so as to exceed 5wt% and 40wt% or lower. A gel sphere of a high water-content is obtained by repeating freezing and thawing operations after casting of the water solution into a molding die. A 5-30wt% organic chemical compound is soaked into the gel by bringing the sphere into contact with a water soluble organic chemical compound which is different from PVA. A gold ball is manufactured by a method wherein the sphere is covered with rubber latex, vulcanized and wound round with rubber thread.</p> |
