PURPOSE:To simplify the piping of the cylinder in the caption by blocking a fluid pressure chamber by means of the large diameter piston part of a piston, and communicating the fluid pressure chamber with another fluid pressure chamber for backward movement of a sub-cylinder through the flow passage for backward movement provided on the peripheral wall of the sub-cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A main cylinder 1, a sub-cylinder 10 and a piston 25 are provided telescopically. On the main cylinder 1, a fluid inlet port 32 for forward movement and a fluid inlet port 33 for backward movement are provided, while on the peripheral wall of the sub-cylinder 10 is formed an axially penetrating flow passage C for backward movement. One end of this flow passage C is connected to a fluid pressure chamber B for backward movement of the sub-cylinder 10, and the other end to a fluid pressure chamber D for backward movement of the piston 25. The fluid inlet port 33 for backward movement, the fluid pressure chamber B for backward movement of the sub-cylinder 10, the flow passage C for backward movement and the fluid pressure chamber D of backward movement of the piston 25 are then communicated with each other in sequence. Piping is, thus, simplified as it is possible to move backward the sub-cylinder 10 and the piston 25 by providing one fluid inlet port 33 for backward movement on the main cylinder 1, namely by setting only one piping to one port.
