PURPOSE:To simplify a system with compactness compared with the case in which a lead storage battery and an accumulator are used for electric storage and for heat accumulation, respectively, by accumulating heat also in a tank for electric storage so that the needed amount of heat can be drawn out simultaneously or individually as needed. CONSTITUTION:While electric power bought from outside is stored in a redox flow type battery and discharged as needed to cut the peak of the outside power, heat generated during electric storage is accumulated in aqueous solution in the redox flow type battery and this heat is used as a heat source as needed. Since the redox type battery is an aqueous solution group battery, it has the following defaults: its energy density is small because it stores electric power in the form of ions, and therefore a large amount of aqueous solution is required, so that a tank volume becomes large. However, this large amount of aqueous solution is positively used as follows: For example, a tank for aqueous solution is installed in an underground space of a building. Midnight electric power is also utilized for electric storage simultaneously with heat accumulation in the aqueous solution. Energy is effectively utilized by cutting the peak power in the daytime. |
