PURPOSE:To obtain an accurate, precise calibration line over the entire dynamic range of a component to be detected by using a hyperbolic line as a conversion expression when converting optical reflection concentration into the material concentration or enzyme active value of the component to be detected. CONSTITUTION:A display such as a measurement item and a measuring method added to an analyzing element 1 installed previously on a table 7 is read by a read sensor 12 and a driving motor 13 for a disk 19 for filter rotation is driven and rotated according to a command from a measuring instrument 14 which has an arithmetic unit internally to rotate a filter to a measurement position. Then, the analyzing element 1 is irradiated with light, which is measured by a photodetection sensor 10; and its signal is converted by an AD converter 16 into a digital signal according to a timing command from a timing generator 15 and the digital signal is inputted to the arithmetic unit of the measuring instrument 14 to perform conversion arithmetic processing based on the conversion expression of a hyperbolic line, thereby outputting the result on a display device 17 such as a printer.
