PURPOSE:To obtain the titled covering material for mending the cracks and voids formed on the wall surface of a building, etc., by forming a heat-softening tacky adhesive composition layer containing a thermoplastic polymer and a tackifier on a base material. CONSTITUTION:The objective covering material for wall mending is produced by forming a heat-softening tacky adhesive composition layer containing (A) 100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polymer such as styrene-butadiene block polymer and (B) 20-200pts.wt. of a tackifier such as a terpene resin (e.g. alpha-pinene) on the surface of a base material. The covering material is applied to a wall surface having cracks and/or voids, a mending resin is injected into the cavity, etc., and the covering material is removed after curing the mending resin to mend the wall surface.
