PURPOSE:To obtain the titled baked confectionery having beautiful external appearance of a decorative part without falling off of decorating bodies, by placing candy coating decorative bodies having a coat layer consisting of candy on a dough for the baked confectionery and then baking the dough. CONSTITUTION:Sugar is initially blended with thick malt syrup and water in a suitable proportion to form a candy, which is then blended to coat preferably decorative bodies, e.g. nuts, bean confectionery, crisps, dried fruits and/or dried vegetables. The resultant bodies are then rapidly cooled into individually independent forms. On the other hand, a dough for baked confectionery, e.g. cookie dough, etc., is formed into a given shape and the above-mentioned candy coating decorative bodies are placed on the dough for the baked confectionery. The obtained dough for the baked confectionery with the above-mentioned decorative bodies is then baked to afford the aimed baked confectionery.
