PURPOSE:To suppress the generation of air bubbles at the time of inspection and to shorten an inspection time, by providing a liquid tank having an inspection liquid received therein and a support plate mounted to a support shaft on one end side in the longitudinal direction thereof and arranged on the upper part side of the liquid tank in a revolvable manner. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of punched holes are provided to both sides of a support plate 17 in the lateral direction thereof so as to form a row and an airtightness inspection object A is clamped to the support plate 17 through a clamp means 20 and, in this state, the whole is revolved by an actuator to be immersed in an inspection liquid 13. At the same time, compressed air is supplied into the object A from a compressed air source 33 through a hose 34. By this method, the object A can be sunk in the inspection liquid 13 at a constant speed along with the support plate 17 and the means 20 by the actuator and the generation of bubbles at the time of sinking can be suppressed by the punched holes of the support plate 17 and an inspection time can be shortened.
