PURPOSE:To efficiently execute a noise processing by converting remarkable picture element data in a search area, deciding the central picture element data in the search area, then deciding the data of the original remarkable picture element. CONSTITUTION:When the remarkable picture element of read binary picture data of three picture elements X three picture elements cannot be unitarily converted to 1, 0 value, the searching area of the three pictures X three pictures including the remarkable picture element in binary input picture data is decided based on the 1, 0 picture element distribution state in the mask of the three picture elements X three picture elements. Then, the picture element data of a position corresponding to the remarkable picture element in the searching area is converted to 1 or 0. A mask processing is applied to the transformed search area and according to the decision result of the data of the central picture element in the search area, the remarkable picture element is converted to 1 or 0. Thereby, even when the noise of more than one picture element, the two picture elements is mixed in the picture data, the noise processing can be efficiently executed. |
