PURPOSE:To improve the shock absorbing capacity through a structure having small cross-section, by coupling a faceplate section which is subject to load and other faceplate section through a waved face having many waves which are perpendicular to both faceplate sections. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber 1 is arranged at required position of such as a door such that an impact force F is applied onto a faceplate section 2 as shown on the drawing. With such arrangement, compressive stress P is produced in the faceplate section 2 which is applied with the impact force F while tensile stress Q is produced in a faceplate section 3 at the other side, then said stresses are transmitted to waved faces 5, 5 thereby the waves 4, 4 shrink in approaching direction at the faceplate 2 side while extend at the faceplate 3 side and bend into fan shape. Consequently, stress caused by the impact force does not concentrate at one point and the shock absorber 1 is prevented from bending. As a result, a structure having small cross-section can be provided and the protection performance can be improved. |
