PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition with high low-temperature impact resistance and high fluidity, for use in injection molded articles of good appearance such as bumpers, by homogeneous dispersion of a bismaleimide compound in a blend containing an olefin plastic followed by dynamic heat treatment. CONSTITUTION:A blend comprising (A) 20-50pts.wt. of an olefin copolymer rubber, (B) 50-80pts.wt. of an olefin plastic with a melt index ratio M1/M0=2-50 (M0 corresponds to the value before pyrolysis by organic peroxide, whereas M1 after pyrolysis by the organic peroxide) (where, the components A plus B representing 100pts.wt.), and (C) 5-25pts.wt. of a mineral oil-based softening agent is incorporated with (D) 0.1-3pts.wt. of a bismaleimide compound to effect homogeneous dispersion followed by dynamic heat treatment in the presence of (E) an organic peroxide, thus obtaining the objective composition. The component A is pref. an ethylene-propylene-nonconjugated diene copolymer rubber with a Mooney viscosity (at 100 deg.C) 30-140 and propylene content 10-30wt%. |
