PURPOSE:To reduce the error of a liquid level, by supporting the lower end of a level meter by the lower member of a liquid storage container and providing an elastic member between the head part side of the level meter and the upper member of the container and downwardly energizing the level meter to allow the level meter to move up and down corresponding to the variation in a liquid level. CONSTITUTION:The elastic member 16 provided between the head part side 12y of a level meter 10 and a liquid storage container 1 always energizes the level meter 10 downward. The lower end of the level meter 10 is supported by the lower member 3 of the container 1 and, when the member 3 moves up and down by the expansion and contraction of the container 1, the level meter 10 also moves up and down so as to follow the member 3 to suppress the detection error of a liquid level. Further, the lower end part of the member 16 is engaged with the head part side 12y to make it possible to reduce the max. strain and max. stress of the member 16 and the interval between the upper member 2 and a head part 12a is reduced to allow the member 16 to function even when a full case is enlarged.
