In a combined gas/steam turbine power station with CO/O2 combustion one compressor each (35 and 36) for a CO/CO2 and an O2/CO2 gas mixture is directly driven by the gas turbine (31). The two gas mixtures are led into a combustion chamber (42), where the CO is partially burnt. The fuel gases flowing out of the combustion chamber (42) pass into a high-pressure part (32) of the gas turbine (31). A secondary compressor (43) delivers an O2/CO2 gas mixture distributed over a plurality of turbine stages into the high-pressure part (32), the O2 delivered by the secondary compressor (43) subjecting the residual CO present in the fuel gases to isothermic combustion. In a low-pressure part (33) of the gas turbine (31) the fuel gas is expanded adiabatically. In a heat exchanger (51) the thermal capacity of the expanded fuel gases is utilised for steam generation for a steam turbine assembly (52) thermally connected to the output of the gas turbine assembly. <IMAGE> |
