PURPOSE:To effect high output over a wide range by dividing an intake pipe into plural sectional intake pipes, placing the opening parts of said sectional intake pipes in a passage which connects said sectional intake pipes of the whole cylinders. CONSTITUTION:The intake pipe of each cylinder is divided into sectional intake pipes 14, 16. A passage 28 which connects the whole cylinders is provided in between the sectional intake pipes 14, 16. An opening part 26 which is opened to the connecting passage 28 is provided on the sectional intake pipes 14, 16. And, cylindrical valves 30 for opening and closing the opening parts 26 respectively are provided to perform opening/closing control in accordance with an operating condition. Thereby, the intake air inertia matching engine speed of intake pipes can be varied, to effect high output over a wide range of engine speed.
