PURPOSE:To easily obtain a soft magnetic steel sheet having a high saturation magnetic flux density by subjecting a plate material consisting of specific components to a rolling treatment at a specified rolling temp., rolling tension, and draft of a 1st pass, thereby forming the sheet. CONSTITUTION:The Fe-Sn alloy plate material is subjected to the rolling under the conditions of a 100-800 deg.C range, the rolling tension adjusted within the 20-70% range of the tensile strength of the plate material and 10-50% draft of the 1st pass. The component compsn. of the Fe-Sn alloy plate material is specified to the chemical formula: Fe100-xSnx (x: 2.0-7.0at%).
