PURPOSE:To reduce the low frequency components of exhaust noises by providing within a muffler body a plural number of resonance chambers of different resonant frequencies. CONSTITUTION:A noise absorption material 11 is applied to the inside face of a muffler body 10, which is partitioned by walls 12 so as to be provided with 1st-4th resonance chambers 19-22 formed from its inlet to the outlet. Further, a resonant frequency in each resonance chamber is set to be different one another. This constitution enables the low frequency components of exhaust noises to be eliminated efficiently.
