PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a device by controlling an image area starting position and a density detecting mark starting position for laser light scanning by means of a common timer. CONSTITUTION:After the passage of prescribed time from the end of exposure, a count value for determining the starting position of an automatic image density control (AIDC) mark in a main scanning direction is set up in a counter 257 in a printing data writing circuit 217 through a CPU. The counter 257 operates as a start counter for setting up the image area starting position in the main scanning direction of laser light, and after counting the set value, operates as a counter for controlling the density detecting mark starting position in the main scanning direction and the mark starting position is controlled through a monostable multivibrator 260 or the like. Thereby, it is unnecessary to prepare another exclusive counter to be used for controlling the density detecting mark starting position and the constitution of the laser print can be simplified. |
