PURPOSE:To lower the overall height by integrally forming an air feeding inertia pipe with the top wall of a valve arm chamber cover on a cylinder head in such a way that said pipe enters in between the valve arms of adjacent cylinders or into a space on the side of valve arms. CONSTITUTION:Air feeding inertia pipes 8 are integrally formed with the upper chamber of a valve arm chamber cover 11 by means of, e.g., an aluminum alloy, and each air feeding inertia pipe 8 gets downward in the space 21 between the valve arms 13 of adjacent cylinders to such a degree that it does not interfere with a valve arm shaft 17. Air which is pressurized by a supercharger 4 enters a surge tank 6 via a duct 26, distributed to three outlets 7 under a condition of uniform pressure, and fed into combustion chambers from the outlets via the air feeding inertia pipes 8, rubber hoses 23, intake pipes 9, intake ports 10, and intake valves 14, respectively.
