PURPOSE:To use an I/O as a copy, to improve the use efficiency of the I/O and to transfer a suitable gradation even while a system executes other action by directly combining the input device and the output device of a halftone image in an interface. CONSTITUTION:Gradation image data converted to an electric signal by a CCD scanner 1 are stored through a scanner printer interface SP-I/F3 to a memory 5. In this case, by directly combining a scanner 1 as an input device and a laser printer 2 as an output device into the SP-I/F3, an original can be directly copied without fetching the image data into the internal part of a system. When a copying action is executed by an off-line, the correction including an input system and an output system can be executed by the gradation correcting table in a gradation correcting circuit 16 in the scanner 1. At the time of the on-line, the gradation correcting table is changed over, the correction only for the input system is executed, the correction is executed through a gradation correcting circuit 21 at the time of the output, the use efficiency of the I/O can be improved and the data can be transferred with a suitable gradation. |
