Then, in the second process, e.g., in the grinding for the cutting-up part of the workpiece, the workpiece W is revolved, in the state where feed is suspended, and at the same time, grinding work is carried-out by gradually shifting a rotary grinder 2 in the direction perpendicular to the shaft, and the cutting-in amount of the rotary grinder 2 for the workpiece W is increased according to the degree of the revolution of the workpiece W. Therefore, similarly to the flank ranging from the top edge part of the workpiece to the cutting-up part, the section can be formed to Archimedes' curve, and the cutting-up part in the form of incomplete edge part can be finished to a perfect flank. |
