PURPOSE:To improve output by connecting an intake passage and an exhaust passage to an intake/exhaust double-purpose passage formed on a cylinder head, via a connecting part. CONSTITUTION:An intake/exhaust double-purpose passage 11 is formed on a cylinder head 2. An intake passage 14 and an exhaust passage 13 are connected to the intake/exhaust double-purpose passage 11 via a connecting part 12. An exhaust gas check valve 15 is provided on the intake passage 14. By utilizing a negative pulse included in the pulsation of exhaust gas which is discharged out of a cylinder at an exhaust stroke, new air is taken into the cylinder from the intake passage via the connecting part. Thereby, intake efficiency can be increased while improving output.
