PURPOSE:To stabilize mechanically and chemically the face of a molding die, and protect it with good durability, by forming the molding die with titanium or a titanism alloy and forming a titanium nitride layer on the die surface where a molding material contacts with. CONSTITUTION:A molding die 1 is formed of titanium as a pair of a top force 11 and a bottom force 12. In the molding die 1 prepared of titanium, the dimen sion and shape of the die prepared with a high accuracy is kept by the high mechanical strength of titanium material, and titanium nitride layers 41 and 51 formed on the die surface 4 and the die mating face 5 have high corrosion resistance against corrosive gas and so on, and no adherence of rubber 3 occurs on the surfaces to make the die releasing of the rubber smooth. As a result, molding processability is highly improved and corrosion and damage of the die surface 4 and the die face 5 are prevented. It is thereby possible to prepare a molding die having excellent durability and good productivity.
