PURPOSE:To eliminate the limitation of a location where a telephone set is to be placed by providing with an infrared-ray remote controller. CONSTITUTION:A CPU 1 is operated by the software written in a ROM 2 and controls a RAM 3, a dialer 4, a DTMF detection section 5, a remote controller 6 and an operation section 10. The remote controller 6 uses the CPU 1 to control the output. When a telephone set gives a call externally, a CI detection section 12 detects a CI and the remote control mode is attained.
