摘要 PURPOSE:To enable printing with high resolution even on a rough paper, by adding an ethylene copolymer specified in respect of melt index and the amount of a comonomer based on ethylene, to a heat-fusible ink using a wax binder, the copolymer being added in a specified ratio. CONSTITUTION:An ethylene copolymer with a melt index of 50-500 and the amount of a comonomer based on ethylene being 20-35 wt.% is added to a binder for a heat-fusible ink in a ratio of 2-15 wt.%. The ethylene copolymer functions as a binder for dispersing and maintaining a coloring agent, has a film-forming ability, and imparts a self-shape-maintaining property to the ink. Even when the surface of a transfer recording paper is rugged, as in the case of a rough paper, the ink portion melted under heating by a thermal head is transferred onto projected parts 3a of the transfer recording paper 3, and even when a gap is generated between the ink 2 and a recessed part 3b of the paper 3, the self-shape-maintaining property of the ink 2 enables the ink to remain on the surface of the paper in the pattern of heating by the thermal head, so that printing with high resolution can be achieved even on rough papers.
