PURPOSE:To eliminate the superfluous horizontal movement of sprockets positioned in the bottom part of a settled sand scraping-up device which scrapes sand up in a sand settling pond by providing revolving lever devices in which two revolving levers are each revolved toward the center part of the sand settling pond and a tension regulating device. CONSTITUTION:When the amount of sand in a sand storage part 1 is increased due to rainfall, etc., the two revolving lever driving devices 38, 39 are worked to slightly revolve the revolving arm 34, 35 to the center part of the sand settling pond 2. Then, each sprocket 36, 37 moves slightly upward and the amount scraped up by buckets is regulated to prevent overload. When the operation is to be stopped, the revolving lever driving devices 38, 39 are worked to turn the revolving arms 34, 35 to a horizontal position from the vertical one, and the lower sprockets 36, 37 are moved upward. At this time, the horizontal moving distance of the lower sprockets 36, 37 need not be considered, as the revolving arms 34, 35 are revolved to the center part of the sand settling pond.
