PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of the crack of a tab and the defective coiling of an Al foil by improving the method for stitching, the needle used therefore and a lower die, in case of performing a stitching connection by overlapping an Al foil and Al tab. CONSTITUTION:The Al foil 4 to be connected onto the prepared hole 22 of a lower die 2 is placed by putting a tab 5 thereon, the tip 11a of the needle bar 1 whose tip part 11 is of square cone and an whose base part a square column shaped part 12 is formed is pressurized so as to pass the center of the prepared hole 22 of square shape and inserted into the prepared hole 22 by penetrating the Al foil 4 and tab 5. In this case the square column part 12 of the needle bar 1 is made to penetrate the tab 5 and Al foil 4. Since the returns 51, 41 of the tab 5 and Al foil 4 almost reach the bottom face 53 of the tab 5 at its cut face 52, no crack is caused from the cut face 52 even if it is calked with its crushing, nor defective coiling of the Al foil 4 is caused and a satisfactory stitching can be performed.
