PURPOSE:To give a superior rust preventing effect for carbon steel, copper alloy, etc. constituting the cooling water system, by using pure water removed oxygen and added lithium hydroxide for supply water for closed circuit cooling water system of nuclear reactor plant etc. CONSTITUTION:Degassed pure water added lithium hydroxide and regulated at about 9-12pH, is used for corrosion inhibitor at the closed circuit cooling water system, such as auxiliary machinery cooling water system of pressurized water reactor. Hereby, corrosion of system construction materials, such as carbon steel, low alloy steel and copper alloy, is inhibited and soundness of the construction material and pure water quality, are maintained. Quality control of the water is simple because lithium hydroxide is stable for both heat and radiant rays and it is adopted for the system unable to use the organic corrosion inhibitor. |
