<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a recording liquid, containing a water-soluble dye, aqueous medium and specific compound, capable of giving printed letters having excellent quick-drying property and printed letter quality even when recording is carried out on ordinary paper and useful for ink jet recording as well as writing utensils. CONSTITUTION:A recording liquid containing (A) preferably 2-8wt% water-soluble dye, e.g. C.I. Direct Black-17, etc., (B) preferably 20-89.5wt% aqueous medium, e.g. containing water and further ethylene glycol, etc., and (C) preferably 2-8wt% compound expressed by formula I [R is H or (substituted)alkyl; X is -O- or -CH2-]. The compound expressed by formula I can be obtained by neutralizing a basic compound expressed by formula II, e.g. N-methyl- morpholine, etc., with hydrogen fluoride.</p> |
