PURPOSE:To improve a thermal spalling property and removability and to extend the life of the titled brick by using refractories which contain flake graphite at a high ratio and are provided with plural fine through-holes to form a gas blowing slide plate brick under the outflow port of a stationary plate brick. CONSTITUTION:The slide plate brick which blows gas from the position under the outflow port of the stationary plate brick of a slide gate for a molten metal when the stationary plate brick and the slide plate brick close the molten steel is disposed. The prepn. of such slide plate brick is executed by adding 10% resin as a binder with a refractory raw material compounded with an adequate ratio of high alumina clinker and silicon carbide with 10-35% flake graphite and kneading the mixture, then putting the mixture into a molding tool, disposing plural 400mu metallic bars therein, and molding and drying the mixture, then removing the metallic bars and calcining the molding. The entire part of such gas blowing body is adhered and fitted to the slide plate brick. The plate brick which has low thermal expandability and high heat conductivity and is improved in the thermal spalling property is thereby formed. |
