PURPOSE:To obtain the titled synthetic leather having excellent tear strength and burst strength without requiring reinforcement through backing, by napping the surface layer face of warp fabric substrate made into a specific knitting construction with polyamide multifilament yarn and forming a porous resin layer on the napped face. CONSTITUTION:Polyamide yarn satisfying total deniers of 50-100d numbers is used to produce warp fabric consisting of a surface side knitted by racked stitch having four or five needles, a middle side knitted by racked stitch in different directions by the use of the two yarns with three or less needles, respectively and a back side by a front reed, a middle reed and a back reed. Filament yarn set in the front reed is napped, the napped surface is impregnated with a resin and a porous resin layer is formed to give suede-like synthetic leather having >=3.0kg tear strength and >=15kg/cm burst strength. The leather is suitable as a reinforcing material for high-quality sport shoes.
