PURPOSE:To produce the titled composition capable of forming a transparent coating film only by immersing a metallic substrate and air-drying, containing a specific organosilicon compound, a bisphenol A type epoxy resin in a solid state at normal temperature and a compound containing plural carbonyl groups. CONSTITUTION:The aimed composition containing (A) a organosilicon compound containing amino alkyl group and an alkoxy group [preferably one containing two or more alkoxy groups, such as N-(beta-aminoethyl)-gamma-amino propyldimethylmethoxysilane, etc.]. (B) a bisphenol A type epoxy resin (prefer ably one containing two or more OH groups) in a solid state at normal tempera ture and (C) a compound containing two or more carbonyl groups in one mole cule (preferably one containing at least one ketone type carbonyl group, e.g. 2,3-butanedione, etc.).
