PURPOSE:To aim at simplification in construction by allowing a piston cooling oil passage provided with an oil injection pipe, whose injection port is directed to a piston, to be interconnected with a journal lubricating oil passage which is provided on a bearing wall part being in one with a crank case. CONSTITUTION:On the crank case half part 21 of a cylinder block 2 is integrally provided a bearing wall part 104 in such a manner that it is nearly parallel to adjacent cylinders and the other end wall reciprocally. To the end face of the bearing wall part 104 is joined a bearing cap 11 by means of a connecting bolt 12 so that the journal part of a crankshaft 15 is supported by means of a bearing metal in such a manner that it may be free to rotate. On the bearing wall part 104 is provided a journal lubricating oil passage 19 for bearing lubricating oil, and then, to this lubricating oil passage 19 is connected a piston cooling oil passage 23 which is provided with an oil injection pipe directed to a piston. |
