PURPOSE:To recognize a picture data not sent to the user clearly by adding all or part of picture data to prescribed information informing unarrival and outputting the result. CONSTITUTION:An original is read from a read section 2, encoded by an MPU 1 and stored in a picture memory 6. In sending the picture data stored in this way, if an opposite equipment is busy or the transmission is disabled because of the production of a fault, a file number, storage time, opposite destination telephone number and stored sheet number or the like are printed out, the memory is not cleared and the coded data stored in the picture memory 6 is decoded on an unarrival notice report and a recording section 4 outputs the picture and adds it. In this case, all the picture is outputted or a part of picture is outputted by the selection of the operator from a keyboard on an operation panel 7.
