PURPOSE:To facilitate manufacture of an embossed plate having an endless pattern, by photographing the projections/recesses of an embossed manuscript then retouching said photography and preparing a plate suitable for emboss roll manufacturing. CONSTITUTION:Projections/recesses on the surface of an embossed manuscript 1 is detected through a reading head 4 then converted into an optical signal by means of a signal processor 8, thereafter exposed by an exposure head 5 onto a photosensitive film 2A and developed so as to prepare a photosensitive film 2B where the projections/recesses on the embossed manuscript are expressed by a shade and retouching is applied as required. In order to provide an endless pattern, the photosensitive film 2B is cut along a center line 21, then the upper section 22 and the lower section 23 are replaced and jointed thereafter retouching is applied to form a plate making film 2C where the patterns are jointed at the joint. Then it is read out by means of an optical reading head 6 which provides an optical signal to a signal processor 9 so as to drive an engraving head 7 thus embossing the surface of an emboss roll material. |
