<p>The carrier casing 10 for packing drink cans has a transversely arranged handle opening 32 in a top panel 14. The opening is covered by flaps 34 which are connected to the top panel along the long edges 50 of the handle opening so that they can be folded, and each flap is made up of individual tabs which make it easier for the user's fingers to fold the flaps down. The long edges extend in such a way that they lie furthest from each other at the mid-point between their ends and are nearest each other at their ends. This arrangement means that the top panel on both sides of the handle opening bends upwards when the pack is lifted, and the lifting stresses are distributed through the top panel and the upper sections of the side panels. <IMAGE></p> |
