PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a finished disk body and to improve the sensitivity and memory preserving property thereof by projecting a laser to thin laminated films contg. one kind of chromatic metal, alloy or metal compd. so as to cause diffusion between the lasers by the heat energy thereof and to make recording and making reproduction by the change in reflectivity. CONSTITUTION:The laser 4 for recording is projected to an optical memory medium constituted by forming the thin laminated films 2, 3 (one kind is chromatic) of at least two kinds of the metals, alloys or metal compds. on the surface of a substrate 1 for the optical memory. The diffusion is induced between the layers of the thin laminated films by the heat generated in the laser irradiated part by which the reflectivity is varied from the reflectivity in the non-irradiated part. The change in the reflectivity can, therefore, be read at the time of projecting the reading out laser 4' and the signal is reproduced. The use of the high-sensitivity and inexpensive optical memory medium is thereby permitted. |
