PURPOSE:To control the release of a camera at a set time so that data which is imprinted on a film coincides with the set time, by switching a display of an electronic timepiece earlier by a prescribed time than the present time. CONSTITUTION:Data of an interval timer which has been set by operating switches 11-14 is compared with timepiece data by a CPU 5. In this case, when it has been decided that they are equal, the CPU 5 outputs a RE signal 4 for executing a release operation to a release controlling circuit 1 in the inside of a camera. The RE signal 4 is a signal equal to that of the time when a shutter switch 2 has been turned on and executes taking of a photograph and imprinting of data. By switching a display earlier by T time than the present time, when the imprinting has been executed by the interval timer, it does not occur that the imprinting is executed when the display is being switched, or the displayed data is imprinted before the set time, and also, the release operation of a camera can be executed at timing which has coincided with the present time.
