PURPOSE:To permit quick and sure starting even from a heavy load condition, by a constitution wherein a rotation driving means, providing a rotating body with a torque through the thrust sliding surface of a dynamic pressure bearing, is equipped in the title motor. CONSTITUTION:The vibration of a piezo-electric body 8 is amplified and synthesized by utilizing the resonance characteristics of a vibrating body 9 to generate a circumferential traveling wave, coaxial with a fixed center shaft 1, on a surface (driving surface) 21 contacted with the thrust bearing piece 7 of the vibrating body 9 whereby the rotation of the thrust bearing piece 7 is driven into the same direction as the stationary rotating direction of the rotating body 2. In the condition of the initial period of starting, in which no other rotation driving force is exerted to the rotating body 2, the rotating body 2, contacted with the bearing piece 7 through a thrust sliding surface 20, is driven to rotate integrally with the thrust bearing piece 7 by the static friction of the thrust sliding surface 20 based on a thrust load including the attracting force of a rotor magnet 3 to a stator yoke 6, therefore, a predetermined rotating speed may be achieved in a short period of time. |
