ADAPTOR IDENTIFYING SYSTEM IN COMMUNICATION CONTROL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE:To identify adaptors without adding any new signal line by reading out the specific bit of a serial scan loop to identify the types of adaptors. CONSTITUTION:The adaptors of a channel connecting device 5 and a circuit scan mechanism 4, etc., from a serial scan loop which is read/written from outside. The memory of a service processor 6 contains a mask pattern table 6a for read data on the serial scan loop and a mask data storing mechanism 6b which stores the read data read out of adaptors 4 and 5 in plural times and masked a mask pattern of the table 6a. The types of both adaptors 4 and 5 are identified after recognizing that the masked read data have no change through reading actions of plural times.
